Jenny Musker
Jenny Musker is a wildlife artist who trained in scientific and natural history illustration. Originally from Liverpool, Jenny now lives and works in Aberdeen. As a lover of detail, she found her style of painting lent itself to the art of miniature painting. Jenny has been exhibiting with the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Engravers at The Mall Galleries in London for over 10 years. She has received numerous awards for her miniature wildlife watercolours and exhibits both in UK and abroad.
Her latest miniatures are painted on Polymin, it is the equivalent of ivory for miniaturists today. Photography plays a key part in her reference collecting as many of her subjects don’t stay still for long.
“It is a privileged moment when you see an animal in its natural habitat and I love to reproduce it for others to enjoy. These brief exciting encounters are what wildlife painting is all about.”
