Milton Art Gallery first opened in 1997 and has built a strong reputation for showcasing some of Scotland's finest artists and makers. Our elegant, relaxed gallery is situated in a refurbished farm steading nestled on the banks of the River Dee, making a visit to our gallery a unique experience.
Since its beginnings the gallery has exhibited a changing collection of original paintings from mainly Scottish artists alongside a wide range of prints, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, glass and artisan furniture. A changing exhibition programme runs throughout the year in our large gallery. We are also proud stockists of an extensive range of Annie Sloan Paint.
Our small, dedicated team has a strong background in art and are always happy to advise customers. Whether you are visiting us at Milton of Crathes or contacting us through our website or our social channels, we are happy to work with you to find pieces which meet your needs and budget. We are proud to be members of the Own Art scheme which enables you to purchase contemporary art and craft through an interest free loan.
Whilst enjoying a breathtaking Royal Deeside setting, the gallery is only a 30 minute drive from Aberdeen and two miles from the centre of Banchory on the A93. With plentiful free onsite parking and other businesses to explore within the Courtyard, a day at Milton of Crathes is highly recommended.
Milton of Crathes is also home to other local businesses including Milton Brasserie, Twin Peakes Fly Fishing, Hidden Scotland, White Stag Barrels, Whitesky Photographics and Livi-Loves Dress Agency. The Milton Events Field hosts a wide range of communty events from local markets, vintage and steam rallies and charity events.
